Beste Geen Stijl bezoekers

Another year pased without me installing movable type :)

Just linking this stupid optin email from 'accuspam.com' here, so the silly person who send me this can see how useful it was.

A small DNSSEC HOWTO I wrote. It is a translation of the article "Secure DNS, Het beveiligingen van DNS in de praktijk" that appeared in c't magazine on March 14 2003.

My story about how our upstream, Priority Telecom terminated our contract over the hosting of Xenu.net has hit all news sites, including Slashdot. Yes we survived the double slashdot effect. I've made a quick mirror of most sites covering these events.

(spot me and Antony on the NOS news of wednesday jan 16, 2002 in the audience)

At CCC(December 28 2001,Berlin) I presented a talk on Lawful Interception in the Netherlands. You can see the slides on Opentap together with a picture of my fan.

Note that there are several people with the same name. And there is even a P.Wouters with the same dat of birth as me working in the Holland Casino causing me to explain time and again that I am not an employee and yes I'm allowed to gamble here :)

I am in the process of migrating everything to gallery and moveable type. If you miss something, look in my Gallery

It seems KMPG doesn't quite get it with respect to linking and silly licences.. Hopefully this page will give them a clue that they can't have the cake and eat it too.

And now the Olympics>Silly Olympic's wants to control how to link to them too.

Apparently, some company wants to censor the discussion about whether internet over powerlines will affect the radiospectrum. I don't know the answer, but censoring the discussion seems bad.

The JetBlue passenger data file that shows how careless the US is with EU passenger data, and how its only use is to make profiles of EU citizens to determine wether they are terrorists, as defined by the USG.

It seems Tros Radar stopped publishing Dutchtone's list of codes and phone numbers on how to unsubscribe from certain spammy sms subscriptions. The reason according to Planet Media is that Dutchtone feared that publishing the helpdesk phonenumbers might overload those helpdesks.

However, I noticed the leaked Dutchtone list published by Tros Radar contains over a hundred more entries compared to the official Dutchtone list. I urge everyone who has problems to first try unsubscribing using the Dutchtone list, and if that fails to use the other list to contact the respective helpdesk.

As provider, I had to look into Scientology matters because one of my company's anonymous users had a page up about them and I got involved in this matter. My company is now also co-hosting Xenu.net.
    A few interesting pages are:

I'm a Linux advocate when I can be. I'm a pro Free software and pro OpenSource person. I can be found either idling on EarthMUD (also on the bofh channel of the Intermud 3, and sometimes I find the time to idle on IRC's IRCnet on the channels #clues, #mortenzo or #hfh. I'm also an advocate of free speech, please see the website of The Electronic Frontier Foundation.
